Winnipeg Manitoba

Building on the successful engagement with Manitoba government officials resulting from the National Biotechnology Week Launch in 2007, BIO 2009 and the publication of Beyond Moose and Mountains, BIOTECanada and its Accord partner Life Science Association of Manitoba, and the NBW Premier Partner CBI (Council for Biotechnology Information) have inaugurated the first annual Ministerial Round Table. 

This event  featured two separate Ministerial round table discussions outlining current value propositions and the future opportunities of the bio-economy.  The roundtable meetings were followed by a general reception at the Manitoba Legislature with a broader list of guests including provincial MLAs, government officials, community leaders, such as the Chamber of Commerce, and biotechnology industry representatives.
