BIOTECanada was proud to participate in the signing of two memoranda of understanding with the Asociación Mexicana de Laboratorios Farmacéuticos (AMILAF) and La Cámara Nacional de la Industria Farmacéutica (CANIFARMA), marking an important step in deepening life sciences collaboration between Canada and Mexico.
Signed as part of Mexico’s trade mission to Canada, the agreements formalize new opportunities for sector-to-sector engagement and reflect a shared interest in strengthening partnerships, expanding commercial relationships, and supporting growth across the life sciences sector in both countries.
The mission brought together Mexican business representatives across ten priority sectors for trade and investment promotion activities in Toronto and Montréal. According to the Government of Canada, more than 10 MOUs and agreements were signed across life sciences, agrifood, education, and creative industries, underscoring the depth of Canada–Mexico commercial ties.
For Canada’s biotechnology sector, this collaboration supports the broader goal of helping companies connect internationally, explore new markets, and compete in a more integrated North American economy. BIOTECanada looks forward to working with partners in Mexico to advance practical areas of collaboration and support continued engagement between our life sciences sectors.
