The Canadian Alliance for Skills and Training in Life Sciences (CASTL) has expanded its Montreal Training Facility with a state-of-the-art simulated cleanroom, enhancing hands-on training in contamination control and cleanroom operations. Designed to replicate a Grade A/B (ISO 5/7) cleanroom, this facility provides an ultra-realistic training environment for professionals in the biomanufacturing sector.
This initiative aligns with industry best practices and BioTalent Canada’s recently released National Skills Standard for Cleanroom Readiness, ensuring trainees gain essential competencies in cleaning and disinfection, environmental monitoring, and aseptic processing. CASTL’s immersive training model allows participants to refine their skills in a controlled setting, reducing costly errors in operational facilities.
“The simulated cleanroom provides invaluable real-world experience that accelerates workforce readiness,” said CASTL’s Director of Technical Training, Sven Ansorge. Now fully operational, the cleanroom is open to professionals of all experience levels. Learn more or register at the CASTL website.
