BIOTECanada reserves the right to review applications for membership to confirm that the applicant meets these criteria for membership. BIOTECanada also reserves the right to reject a membership application or not to renew a membership
Membership is from January to December. Membership dues are pro-rated halfway through the year.
Early Stage Companies
Canadian biotech company, excluding subsidiaries of international firms, with under $15M in annual revenue. Membership fees are based on total Canadian employees
Biopharma Companies
Canadian biotech company with annual revenues of $15M or more, including Canadian subsidiaries of international companies operating in the biotechnology sector
Knowledge &
Service
Membership is open to for-profit organizations that provide services or equipment to biotechnology companies, including legal, consulting, insurance, research
Affiliate
Affiliate membership is open to government and non-profit organizations that support the biotechnology sector and related public interest initiatives nationwide.
Academia
Academia membership is open to academic and non-profit institutions, including departments within universities or colleges engaged in research and education
Investor
Investor membership is open to venture capital firms and investment bankers whose primary business is investing in or raising capital for biotechnology companies
